job summary: For this contractor assignment, we are looking to bring in a BI Developer Sr to assist with work for a People Analytics BI team. Looking for a contractor with BI and data engineering skills. This team builds data pipelines and creates data solutions in Snowflake that are consumed by data analysts and Data scientists (on a separate team). location: Cleveland, Ohio job type: Contract salary: $48.57 - 58.87 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Proficient extracting, transforming, and loading tools/processes/languages (languages: Python, C#, tools: Prefect, DBT, SSIS) and data solution creation/maintenance. - Proficient coding in at least one of the programming languages used in analytics, application development, and/or data science. - Proficient in analysis and problem solving with the ability to determine root cause and then recommend solutions. qualifications: - A minimum of 5 years related work experience with working knowledge of designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications. - {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of 2 years designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications. skills: Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of SQL - Proven experience modeling data flows. - Experience with Data Engineering tools, such as DBT, Prefect (using Python), Five Tran, or similar ETL/ELT platforms. - Experience with Snowflake Experience with GITHUB. - Excellent listening, verbal, and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences. Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway etc. - Experience with Terraform. - Coding experience in at least one of the programming languages (C#, Python, etc.) used in analytics, application development, and/or data science. - Experience with Power BI reporting tool. - Experience with Splunk.
