Experience: 10 years of healthcare experience in an Academic Medical Center (AMC), combining finance, accounting, and/or operations management. Matrixed Leadership Skills: The role demands significant management experience and the ability to navigate a highly complex, matrixed organization with competing priorities. Communication & Systems: The candidate needs excellent verbal and written communication skills to present challenging financial data effectively to diverse stakeholders, including clinical faculty and senior administrators. Comprehensive Financial Oversight: The Director is responsible for all budget, financial, and accounting functions across multiple locations. This includes operating and capital budgets, accounts receivable and payable, and internal control processes. Strategic Advising: The role involves providing strategic counsel, financial modeling, and projections to inform major decisions and reporting priorities for NSI leadership. Revenue Cycle & Compensation: The Director acts as the primary liaison with the Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO) for billing, coding, and denial management. They also oversee complex funding sources, including managing Medical School endowments, faculty recruitment packages, and physician compensation plans. Team Leadership: The individual will initially manage a team of roughly five analysts, taking responsibility for their hiring, performance reviews, and ongoing professional development.
