An international non-profit in the DC area is hiring for a human resources coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties to the Human Resources team. This is a temporary to hire opportunity with a Salary of $43-45,000. This role is a wonderful opportunity for an entry-level candidate with an interest in HR and one year of administrative experience. Key responsibilities of this role include scheduling meetings, sending correspondence for department meetings, supporting the hiring and onboarding process, first point of contact for employee inquiries, and providing additional administrative support for the HR, Internship, and Leadership teams. Provides administrative assistance and scheduling to senior department leaders. Manages employee recognition, engagement, and service programs. Assists and acts as backup to recruiters with using the HR applicant tracking system. Conducts reference checks and processes background checks. Support employee onboarding & new hire orientation. Handles data entry for HRIS, benefits, learning management system and other systems. Runs reports from various systems as requested. Serves as the first point of contact for employee questions and requests. Maintains and files all HR-related records in compliance with employment law, keeping all department records (paper and electronic) well organized and up-to-date.
