A client of ours located in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team. This position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to attorneys by managing legal documentation, coordinating court filings, and maintaining organized case files. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle complex scheduling, draft professional correspondence, and ensure all deadlines are met with precision and confidentiality. This role is key in streamlining firm operations and contributing to the overall success of the legal practice. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive base salary, sales incentives (bonus and commission) and benefits package.salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Case Management: Initialize new files, retrieve documents from CourtNet, and prepare initial "shell" pleadings (Answers, Appearances, and Discovery Requests). Discovery & Document Production: Redact sensitive files (audit trails/personnel records), convert data to PDF for production, and manage document sharing via OneDrive. Expert Coordination: Research, contact, and schedule expert witnesses; prepare comprehensive review packets and manage expert depositions. Calendaring & Scheduling: Track all court deadlines; coordinate depositions, mediations, and Zoom conferences; and secure meeting spaces or travel arrangements. Court Relations: Execute e-filings in KY/IN State and Federal courts and maintain regular contact with Court Clerks regarding filing status. Reporting & Records: Draft litigation, mediation, and deposition reports. Proactively request and track medical, billing, and radiology records. Administrative Support: Process check requests, perform occasional dictation, enter timesheets, and ensure all correspondence is saved to the server. Qualifications Proven experience in a fast-paced legal environment (KY/IN jurisdiction knowledge preferred). High proficiency in Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and e-filing systems. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks for multiple attorneys. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
