The Shipping Lead is responsible for all aspects of outbound logistics, ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled, prepared, and shipped in a timely manner. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams and external carriers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in shipping, logistics, or a related field.salary: $21 - $25 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Shipping & Logistics: Print labels and prepare cartons for parts. Assemble customer orders for shipment, including counting, weighing, and checking against order details. Build, wrap, and strap pallets for shipment as needed. Determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method (e.g., ground, courier, LTL, FTL). Schedule and coordinate truck pickups and deliveries with carriers. Load outbound trucks safely using a pallet jack or forklift. Inventory & Data Management: Control and manage finished goods inventory. Use the company’s ERP system, along with vendor websites and applications, to record and prepare data related to shipments. Collaboration & Communication: Assist the Receiving Team with unloading trucks when necessary. Communicate proactively with internal departments, including Production Management, Customer Service, Sales, and Accounts Receivable, as well as with external services to resolve shipping-related issues, delays, or questions.
