The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities. This is a proactive, high-visibility hybrid role that blends strategic financial planning with hands-on accounting for a professional who thrives on the delivery of high-quality financial processes, insights and advice, solving problems and continuous improvement. This role includes managing the monthly close, annual budgeting and financial planning and analysis processes, contract management, and leading annual audit support. The Finance Manager will supervise and train personnel, maintain internal controls, and ensure adherence to financial provisions and compliance requirements.salary: $48 - $58 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesFinancial Management, Planning & Analysis Manage the monthly close with outsourced firms to ensure accurate, timely general ledger and reconciliations. Oversee financial statement distribution and the annual budget planning process, including manager training. Drive FP&A via BvA reviews, variance analysis, and quarterly forecasting of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets. Develop automated dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Excel) to communicate KPIs to stakeholders. Optimize the software stack and lead system automation projects to streamline workflows. Tax, Internal Controls, and Compliance Maintain rigorous internal controls and finance policies to ensure organizational integrity. Manage the fixed asset ledger, including depreciation validation and asset disposals. Ensure compliance with PCSB and DCPS; prepare quarterly/annual financial and budget reports. Coordinate IRS Form 990, 1099s, and DC-specific tax filings. Oversee contract management and adherence to financial provisions. Audit, Reporting & Supervision Lead annual audit support, coordinating with external auditors for all required documentation. Supervise grant financial proposals and federal reimbursement requests. Manage AP, AR, and FP&A functions; train personnel on financial best practices.
