job summary: A Project Engineer is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Waverly, IA area. This role is responsible for the entire project lifecycle from financial feasibility to final commissioning ensuring all installations are safe, cost-efficient, and GMP-compliant. location: Waverly, Iowa job type: Contract salary: $37.32 - 52.19 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Oversee capital investments and fixed asset life cycles from conceptual study to project closeout.Lead cross-functional teams of salaried and hourly stakeholders for asset relocation and optimization.Propose and control project costs in strict accordance with Capital Investment Guidelines.Coordinate internal technicians, external contractors, and funding to meet defined objectives.Enforce a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe situations regarding people, products, and the environment.Design long-term sustainable projects that positively impact Return on Invested Capital (ROIC).Apply Value Engineering Analysis (VEA) to find optimal, low-cost, and highly efficient solutions.Manage plant layouts, equipment selection, and technical specifications using basic science and proven technology.Facilitate 30%, 60%, and 90% design reviews with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).Utilize project management tools including MS Project, SAP-PS, AMM, and FMEA.Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, OSHA, and 3A standards.
