If you are enthusiastic about this opportunity, please submit your application today or reach out via email to Sandra.Umbdenstock@Randstadusa.com, using the subject line "Medical Secretary."salary: $20 - $22 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Manages provider schedules, including scheduling patient appointments and procedures while confirming appointments.Handles and prioritizes Provider’s phone calls, promptly returning messages and arranging necessary follow-up.Ensures proper insurance referrals, referring provider documentation, and patient records are in order for appointments.Conducts end-of-visit check-out, orders laboratory and radiology tests, and arranges follow-up care as needed.Provides patients with necessary instructions for procedure preparation.Coordinates procedure scheduling with hospitals or other centers as required.Reviews and routes incoming correspondence, referrals, prescription authorizations, and electronic tasks, responding or assigning them to the provider or administration accurately.Maintains and completes open orders.Generates and types routine letters and correspondence within the EHR, ensuring proper signatures and approvals when necessary.Collaborates with Medical Assistant to manage the GI provider's "recall" system, including sending letters and making follow-up phone calls to remind patients of upcoming procedures (at least two months in advance, as required).Assists patients with concerns and complaints and escalates requests to the Site or Practice Manager when necessary.Organizes the provider's calendar and schedules other appointments as requested.Performs additional administrative, secretarial, and medical support duties as assigned.
