Gain familiarity with and adhere to court-specific formatting requirements for legal filings. File briefs, pleadings, and other documents in bankruptcy and state/federal courts. Coordinate and schedule conferences, depositions, and meetings. Manage attorneys’ calendars, including tracking court deadlines and appearances. Organize and manage travel arrangements. Enter billable time, review pre-bills, and process expense reimbursements. Answer calls, distribute mail, and prepare documents for shipment. Open, maintain, and organize client files and related documents. Respond to requests for information and assist with other administrative duties as needed. Requirements: Minimum of two years of experience as a legal secretary/assistant, preferably in bankruptcy or litigation; consumer bankruptcy experience is highly desirable, and state court experience is a plus. Proficiency in electronic filing procedures. Skilled in Microsoft Word and dictation tools. Typing speed of 50 words per minute or higher. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience/training is preferred.
